Young Money’s Nicki Minaj has more things than Miley Cyrus to talk about this week after making over $13 million on her Pinkprint Tour.
According to reports, Minaj’s numbers are enough to land her atop the competition on Billboard’s weekly “Hot Tours’ chart.
Nicki Minaj tops Billboard’s latest weekly Hot Tours recap based on $13 million in revenue from the world tour supporting her album The Pinkprint, released last December. With 20 performances reported from the tour’s trek through North American markets, the sold ticket count reached 293,036 from seven arenas and 13 outdoor amphitheaters booked during the summer run. This week, television personality Wendy Williams scolded Nicki for lashing out at pop singer Miley Cyrus at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards show.
“I didn’t watch the VMAs, because again, I was on tour and I was busy sleeping and moisturizing. But I did see the clip and I was very disappointed in Nicki. And I don’t have an opinion about either one of the girls—bad, good or indifferent. They’re both talented in their own way. I just feel that Nicki is like twice Miley Cyrus’ age and it would have been nice if Nicki would have just taken her award, rolled her eyes and looked at the camera—and then kept it moving. I don’t know, I just…Who fights with kids?” (HuffPost Live)
Minaj went at Miley’s head during her acceptance speech for the “Best Hip Hop Video” category at Sunday’s MTV VMAs show.
“And now back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?!,” Nicki shouted before Miley responded with, “Hey, we’re all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate sh*t. Nicki, congratulations.” (MTV Video Music Awards ’15)

Last week, Cyrus scolded Nicki for ranting about the MTV VMAs nominees selection process favoring white musicians.
“People forget that the choices that they make and how they treat people in life affect you in a really big way. If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it. And it’s not anger like, “Guys, I’m frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.” You made it about you. Not to sound like a b*tch, but that’s like, “Eh, I didn’t get my V.M.A.” (New York Times)
