New York rapper Nicki Minaj won’t let society tell her when she needs to get hitched or chase relationship goals. The hip-hop diva has updated fans on her marital status and revealed why she doesn’t sweat over who she’s dating.
In a new ELLE cover feature, Minaj confirmed she’s not seeing anyone and said she’s carefree about who or when to date.
“Becoming single was one of the things that made me feel strong and powerful. The fact that I am a young woman who doesn’t need a man for money. I don’t need a man for a job. I’ve never had to f*ck for beats. I’ve never had to f*ck for a record deal. I don’t have those pressures. I get up when I want, shop when I want.” (ELLE)
Last month, Nicki hit up Twitter to reveal her past romances and getting asked multiple times to tie the knot.

Minaj set the internet on fire Friday after responding “yes” to a fan who asked her, “You dating Eminem???” on Instagram. Sources close to Minaj tell TMZ she was only joking … there’s nothing romantic between the two.
