New York rapper Nicki Minaj isn’t sweating over relationship goals anymore. The hip-hop diva weighs-in on living the single life during an upcoming “Ellen” appearance.
In a new teaser clip ahead of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” season 16 premiere, Onika addresses why she’s done worrying about having a man.
“I didn’t say I was with Nas. I said I chilled, hung out with him,” Nicki said. “He and I are still good friends. No, no, no – I was in a relationship with Meek for a while and it was a very toxic something but we had some good times and we ended that. With Drake, no, I’ve never been in a relationship with Drake. [New boy?] Hmm. How do you get these – well, there’s a new boy but he and I have kind of fell back a little bit [laughs] and then there’s a newer [someone]. Yeah. Fairly new. He’s been around for a couple weeks now but I don’t have a boy. I’m just chilling. I’ve always been in a relationship my whole life. I was in a relationship since I was 15-years-old. This is the first time I’m single and I’m happier and I’m free. I used to feel like I had to have a man. Back in April, Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels revealed his distanced relationship with Nicki and questioned if he made the right decision leaving her.
