Denver Broncos’ defensive coordinator Wade Phillips gave hip-hop star Drake an unexpected co-sign by referencing his “Big Rings” single during a press conference this week.

Ahead of the team’s private weekend Super Bowl 50 championship ring ceremony, Wade impressed media with some Drizzy lyrics.

It will be Phillips’ first title ring, and he’s not going to hide it. “As soon as I get it, I’m going to put it on. I might wear it all the time,” Phillips said. “It’s a really big ring. It’s a really big thing. I got a really big team, as Drake would say.” Phillips said he has “Big Rings” and other Drake songs on his iPod. (The Denver Post)

Back in February, Drake’s boss Lil Wayne partied with the Denver Broncos following their Super Bowl 50 win.

Hours after the final whistle, the Super Bowl MVP hit up the Grand Nightclub for the victory party — where the superstar partied with several of his Denver Broncos teammates including Aqib Talib. Miller — a huge hip-hop fan — stood right next to Weezy and Chris Brown as the rapper performed for the whole club … make sure to watch Miller rapping along with all of the songs, it’s pretty awesome! The Super Bowl 50 upset went down with the Broncos’ defense stopping North Carolina Panthers superstar quarterback Cam Newton.

If this was the final game of Peyton Manning’s 18-year career, he couldn’t have scripted the ending much better. A 2-yard rushing touchdown from running back C.J. Anderson — in addition to a defensive score and three field goals from kicker Brandon McManus — gave the Denver Broncos a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 in front of 71,088 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
