G-Unit boss 50 Cent made sure his Connecticut mansion had security decked out when a burglar tried to bust in. New details have emerged surrounding the publicized crime.
According to reports, top-notch security measures ultimately sealed suspect Edwin Joyce‘s fate.
Edwin Joyce tried to make his way into the home through the generator room, but set off an alarm that alerted property manager, David Holloway … according to the police report. Law enforcement sources tell us Holloway peered out and saw Joyce creeping through a garage, and moving across the mansion’s grounds. We’re told that’s when Holloway ran to his vehicle and drove to the main road to call 911. (TMZ)

According to initial reports, the suspect almost immediately landed in police handcuffs.
Elwin Joyce, 34, of Windsor, Conn., was arrested for the break-in after on-site security alerted authorities of an intruder on the property. Joyce was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny and possession of burglary tools. He is currently being held on $100,000 bond. (NY Daily News)
Earlier the same day, details surfaced about the failed Connecticut mansion crime.
Several marked and unmarked police vehicles were in the driveway and on the street Tuesday afternoon outside the Farmington, CT spread. Sources connected to Fiddy tell us police were alerted by someone on the property. It’s unclear if anything was taken … or if anyone’s been arrested. We’re told 50 Cent was not home at the time. One possible reason for so many cops responding — the place covers a ton of ground … 50,000 sq. feet for the home on 17 acres of land. (TMZ)
