Less than 24 hours after R&B singer Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced a shocking break-up, new reports claim the crooner made a final attempt to win his wife back before calling it quits.
According to reports, Thicke nixed a concert and flew out to Canada last Friday (February 21) to save their marriage.
Sources connected with the couple tell us … Paula Patton told Robin Friday she wanted to end the marriage. Robin then abruptly cancelled his show, saying he had throat problems. But the cancellation was solely so he could sit with his wife and try to change her mind. We’re told Paula — who is shooting a movie in Vancouver — and Robin had a long, face-to-face talk … both acknowledging they had not been getting along and frequently arguing. Our sources say in the end Robin realized Paula was determined to end the marriage and reluctantly agreed, but was very upset. We’re told she was also upset. The next day Robin cancelled his Orlando concert so he could be with their child. (TMZ)

The pair, who first met when Thicke was 14, have been married since 2005 and welcomed son Julian Fuego in April 2010. The singer, 36, long had been very expressive about his marriage to the actress, 38, saying last fall, “We’re pretty sure we’ve loved each other for a few lives.” (People)

At the beginning of the year Thicke, 36, was seen cozying up to an unidentified woman at a Paris nightclub. The “Give it 2 U” singer reportedly danced the night away at Club 79 in the French city and kept the company of a woman who was certainly not Patton. (New York Daily News)
Another steamy incident took place during the MTV Music Video Awards festivities.
Back in August he was also seen engaging in naughty behavior. That time he was partying at a New York hotspot following his highly sexualized MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus. At 1Oak he posed for what initially appeared to be an innocent photo with a fan, which she later posted online. But with a closer look the mirror reflection in the snapshot shows Thicke’s hand grabbing the young woman’s backside as he smiles for the camera. (New York Daily News)
Thicke and Patton’s romance reportedly dates back to their teenage years.
The high school sweethearts, who first met when Thicke was 14, have been married since 2005. They welcomed their son Julian Fuego in April 2010. Their last public appearance together was at the Grammy Awards in January. (Rap-Up)
