St. Lunatics leader Nelly reportedly found himself in police handcuffs this weekend after being arrested on multiple drug charges in Tennessee.
According to reports, the drug bust went down Saturday (April 11).
Rapper and reality TV star Nelly is facing felony drug charges after being arrested in Tennessee on Saturday. Tennessee Highway Patrol said in a news release that Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes, was pulled over about 9:20 a.m. because the bus he was riding in failed to display a U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association sticker. Police found multiple drugs and handguns on Nelly’s tour bus during their investigation.
Trooper Loftis, assisted by THP Sgt. Donald Jennings, then conducted a probable cause search of the bus. The troopers discovered in the sleeper area a plastic bag that contained five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed approximately 100 small Ziploc bags that are commonly associated with the sale of narcotics and numerous handguns, including a gold-plated 50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a 45-caliber Tarus pistol, and a 500 magnum Smith and Wesson. Along with Nelly, police arrested a 44-year-old affiliate for gun possession.
Five other people were on the bus besides Nelly, including Brian Jones, 44, of St. Louis, Missouri. Jones is a convicted felon and was in possession of a handgun; he was charged accordingly. Nelly and Jones were transported to the Putnam County jail. The weapons and drugs were seized in accordance with state law. (WBIR)
Despite the case’s seriousness, Nelly posted bond and avoided a long stint behind bars.
Nelly has been charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is out on bond. The bus was on its way to St. Louis when it was stopped. (KSDK)

Nelly was never claiming Ashanti publicly but cheated behind her back with Greg Hardy’s fiance then later dumped her to date Miss Jackson who left Floyd Mayweather for him. To top that all off Nelly goes on ESPN to criticize Kobe Bryant for not being a great leader, it seems as if this arrest brings joy to all parties involved
