From Ne-Yo’s perspective, “The Boss” remains in a class of his own.

“It was a chemistry thing, so when he put this one together, he said I was one of the first people he called about it,” Ne-Yo told MTV News from the “Super High” video set. “Ross is just a cool dude. I respect his lyrical ability. There’s only a few in the game that really say something when they say something, and Ross is one of those few. So it’s just an honor to be on the joint.” (MTV)

Actress Stacey Dash also recently talked about Ross and co-starring in his “Super High” music video.

“[Director] F. Gary Gray called me and he’s a director that I wanted to work with for a very long time. He’s like ‘Look I’m doing this music video, it’s based around Harley Davidson and it’s going to be amazing, will you do it with me?’ I said, ‘Of course! You’re F. Gary Gray! I love your vision, yes! We shot it Sunday and Monday atPalm Desert–both 18-hour workdays. I play the video vixen. I’m in a Lamborghini and he pulls up on me. I’m not having a good time with my man and he’s like ‘Come with me.’ There’s about 20 guys in Harley bikes surrounding me. I’m like ‘Heck yeah, I’m getting on the bike!'” (VIBE)

Ross has also been co-signed by rap mogul and newly-appointed manager, Diddy.

“Oh y’all ain’t hear the second verse,” Diddy said about Ross’ ‘Angels’ collaboration. “Yo, y’all gonna peep that when we world premiere that. I don’t know, I guess him and Biggie locked up in the room, even my man Hen Roc even said that. For my man Hen Roc to say that and co-sign it like ‘Yo, my man right there sounding like our homie.’ That right there is something special. That’s a mean co-sign, that’s a mean co-sign. I don’t know what was going on in the studio, the spirits were connecting but it’s official. It ain’t bootleg, it ain’t got no preservatives in it.” (Spliff TV)

In mid-April, Ross confirmed making Diddy his new manager.

“Most definitely, we making a lot of big moves,” Ross told radio host Ricky Smiley. “We making a lot of big moves, you know what I’m saying? Shout-out to Diddy, the Ciroc Boys. You know what I mean? We got a big announcement we gonna be making real soon. And we got a lot of big ventures we’re looking into so I’m excited. June 29th is the tentative date [for my album] we’re looking at right now.
