Former NBA superstar Charles Barkley has shared his thoughts on the impact hip-hop heavyweight Kanye West‘s Twitter antics have had this week.

In a new interview, Barkley revealed his disappointment in Yeezy not bringing more positivity into his social media habits.

“For somebody who has so much going, I’m disappointed he’s not using it in a more positive way. First of all, as a black man, I know how hard it is to be successful. And when you get to the mountaintop, you can either do good or do bad and he’s in an unbelievable position to make a difference, and I’m disappointed that he’s not using a more positive way.” (Bleacher Report)

Kanye’s sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian recently shared her thoughts on the Twitter tirades.

“Kanye is the true form of an artist. And I think his art demands creativity. I love what he says. I just love his honesty and his just ability to really say whatever he wants and [he] kind of has no remorse. I hate when people tweet things and then they like delete it. I don’t like deleters. Whatever you say, own it! Is he like wild and out there? Yeah, but I respect him for that. I like anybody who owns who they are. And, just like no qualms about it. That’s what I love.” (NYLON)

Recently, Khloé’s mom Kris Jenner spoke out on Yeezy’s knack for going into Twitter tirades.

“You know, there have been days where there should be a no tweeting law, and I feel like I’ll ground him,” Jenner said. “Sometimes I feel like what he’s really trying to say…when he was like ‘Oh, I am $53 million in debt,’ you know, that whole thing, what he was trying to say was that’s what he’s done to spend on his clothing line over the last 15 or 20 years or whatever it’s been. But it comes out not exactly the right way, and people get it misconstrued through the media and then it’s just complicated, what can I say?” (“The Ellen DeGeneres Show”)

Recent reports claimed Kris’ daughter Kim Kardashian West had remained by Kanye’s side despite conflicting reports.

“Kim has faith in Kanye and a unique understanding of how he operates,” a West insider tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. A source close to the production of Keeping up with the Kardashians says the reality star’s insight gives her a unique power to influence her husband. “If there is anyone that can reach Kanye now, it’s Kim,” says the source. “To Kanye, Kim is a queen.” (People)
