[With NBA 2K18 finally available – SOHH had to clock in some video game goals and try it out. After some extensive Playstation 4 gameplay and endless Run The Neighborhood adventures, peep five key things you’re gonna love about the must-own title!]

1. The Gameplay

The most common and immediate aspect you’ll notice after loading up NBA 2K18 is the overall gameplay. Before you even dig into the massive amount of features, the on-court experience is the smoothest you’ve ever experienced in the 2K series. Whether you’re bidding for another championship run with the Golden State Warriors or want to find out what the revamped Cleveland Cavaliers now bring to the court with D-Rose, D-Wade, Isaiah Thomas and a few other key acquisitions – you’re going to see signature moves and flawless gameplay from tip-off to the final seconds.

2. The Face-To-Face Graphics

While it’s all about the gameplay – passing, dribbling and of course shooting it up – there’s nothing more upsetting than seeing your favorite player look nothing like he’s supposed to when tip-off goes down. Fortunately, NBA 2K has continued its tradition of giving every diehard fan each detail of their go-to players – from NBA First-Team to those D-League players. Look at the facial features from every team and you’ll see how scary accurate they are.

3. The Legends

Easily one of the most surprising features out of the box for NBA 2K18 is landing special guest commentary from NBA legends – Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett. It’s great to get your regular go-to commentary but adding the presence of the Black Mamba and KG? Mind-blowing experience. We’ve already become accustomed to Kevin Garnett on those NBA On TNT nights and to get his presence in this title really makes this a special release.

4. Run The Neighborhood

The hype is real. My Career goes into a whole new direction with the decked-out Run The Neighborhood feature. Of course NBA 2K fans had the chance to try out The Prelude before this release but now with the title fully out, you’re going to find yourself stuck playing this feature for hours. Imagine the openness of Grand Theft Auto with the free-roaming world and then add real-life experiences like going to the local in-game barbershop to get a signature look, hitting Footlocker to choose over 200 pairs of kicks and even hitting the local audio store for a set of headphones.

5. The Soundtrack

The soundtrack is simply amazing. It’s the perfect mixture of past, present and future. Whether you want to relive the Bad Boy Records era when those Chicago Bulls were litty by having Ma$e’s “Feel So Good” playing or even turning it up to 2017 with Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” – there is no limit to the amount of quality tunes on here. There’s a grip of 90’s classics on here but more importantly, NBA 2K18 realizes it’s young audience and goes the length to make sure artists like PnB Rock, Lil Uzi Vert, Anderson .Paak, Future, Dave East and Drake all land on here.

NBA 2K18 is now available on all video game platforms.
