Reason 2: Dope Extra Features
With over an hour of extra features, you get an inside look at what went into making this film possible. I definitely didn’t know this movie was based on a series of books titled The Southern Reach Trilogy. Now, will this mean we’ll get two more films, we’ll have to wait and see, but I always love to see when books are translated into movies. Also, we get an in depth approach to how Alex Garland wanted to see his vision of the story translate to the screen. The time he put in making sure he had everything in the right place at the right moment was above and beyond what we expected out of him as a filmmaker and artist.
