New York rapper Nas is out here saluting greatness. The hip-hop veteran stepped forward this weekend to show his longtime pal Lauryn Hill some major appreciation.

Nasty Nas went to Instagram Saturday (August 25) to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of L-Boogie’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill classic.

Back in May, Lauryn Hill added her own twist to rap star Drake’s “Nice For What” smash hit.

During Hill’s set at the Apollo Monday night, the legend jumped out: “See this is ‘Ex-Factor’/He took the sample/My sh*t is classic/Here’s an example,” she sang, in place of Drake’s regular chorus. “Stop acting like you didn’t grow up singing my songs,” Hill rapped. “I swooped down on the bitch like I had wings on my arms.” The Boy made a song celebrating women, and now he’s been rightly put in his place. Last year, Nasir Jones shared an epic pic of himself and L-Boogs.
