New York rapper Nas is letting his music do all the talking. Nasir Jones publicly takes aim at next president hopeful Donald Trump on the new song, “Deep.”
Nasty Nas speaks on various topics with the Robin Thicke collaboration including police brutality and the Trumpster.
Later, Nas calls out those who sit by and do nothing – “dismissin’ got you livin’ in your own prison” – and makes a brief reference to Donald Trump’s run for President: “You don’t think it’s an emergency? A toupee wearin’ liar’s tryna run the U.S.A.” At the end of the track, Nas attempts to fuse the discussion of Thicke’s relationship quarrels with the political message: “You don’t even see what I see in you/ Next female president could even be you/ Bringin’ kids in the world that we gotta teach/ Just give me good sex and give me peace.” (Rolling Stone)
