4. The Accusations Are Nasty

The claims made by Kelis are violating and disturbing, if proved true. She claims to have been repeatedly beaten, even saying that Nas used to punch her in the face during drunken fits. Apparently, she’d attempt to fight back and the next morning Nas would have no recollection of anything that happened. Kelis called their relationship “tumultuous and toxic”, and said “I have edited myself for nine years and I woke up this morning and said, ‘not today,’” during the two-hour video in which she made the accusations. Nas hasn’t responded yet, but lowkey shot back in an Instagram post of him and his son Knight with the caption “This is what it’s all about. Pure Peace & Pure Love. Pure Happiness!”.
