According to reports, Swizz’s Poison album will come with a handful of major collaborations.
After over a decade of teases, one-off singles, and title changes, superproducer Swizz Beatz has finally announced the release of his second solo album, Poison. The follow-up to 2007’s One Man Band Man is due out this summer via Epic and features Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Lil Wayne, Pusha-T, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, the Lox, Giggs, Jim Jones, and more. “You can hear the passion from everyone on the record; they wanted to be a part of it,” he told Pitchfork in a recent interview at Jungle City Studios. The hip-hop veteran recently decoded the meaning behind his album title.
“Everything is poison. You look at the times we live in, you look at everything, and in order to get past that, you have to address that. You can’t just skip over it.” (Pitchfork)
Recently, Swizzy released his “It’s Okayyy” single.
One song that didn’t make the album’s cut featured Kanye West and U2’s Bono, but may end up on a follow-up album. We’ll have to wait and see if the song receives an official release. Although it will not be on Poison, listen to Swizz Beatz’ latest release, “It’s Okayyy.” (The Source)
The wait is almost over.
All for this Nasir. We need you back full swing. These new rappers are not saying anything. Only Kendrick… Jay Cole is boring. Drake has girl music and very soft. Not street ready. More Adam and Eve is what we need. Come back to us King Nas!!!!
