New York rapper Nas has time for social media this week. God’s Son went to Instagram Monday (November 20) to share his thoughts on a slew of topics ranging from Africa human trafficking to the death of Hollywood actress Della Reese.

Over the past few hours, Nasir Jones has flooded his timeline with thoughts on today’s biggest subjects.

Over the weekend, Nas reflected on the impact late hip-hop radio deejay Mr. Magic had on him.

Prior to dying October 2009 from a heart attack, Magic made a name for himself in the hip-hop radio scene.

Mr. Magic, born John Rivas, was the first host on commercial radio to devote a program exclusively to rap when his “Rap Attack” began broadcasting on WBLS-FM in New York in April 1983. Disco and funk were then fading, and rap was emerging as a rebellious new art form in the streets, housing projects and parks of New York City. (New York Times)

  1. The greatest Mc has spoken! We need more MCs like Nas! He really takes time out his busy schedule and pays homage to his people and what is going on wrong in this world. It is the character of a man!!!!
