R&B veteran Mya has weighed-in on the social media chatter about fellow singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter allegedly using her new Lemonade album to accuse hip-hop husband Jay Z of his infidelity.
Approached by a paparazzo, Mya shared her thoughts on Queen Bey’s jaw-dropping release and presumed accusations.
“That’s awful,” Mya said when informed about Bey allegedly accusing Jay Z of cheating on her Lemonade album. “Well, I can’t really speak on what another person does. But art is art. It’s definitely an expression of self, often truth. It can be. It can be free therapy. That’s what you sign up for when you enter the entertainment business. I don’t have anybody coming at me but I know what I’m not guilty of. I can’t really speak on what other people tell. Art is art. To each’s own. [Is Jay Z capable of such things?] Any man is capable of such things.” (TMZ)
