The annual event’s 2014 artist line-up surfaced online Wednesday (January 15).

Organizers added NYC rock veterans The Strokes to the lineup Wednesday morning as apparent co-headliners — an update to the Times ad, which only featured frontman Julian Casablancas. The singer keeps his solo set as well. Other major acts include Phoenix, Foster the People, Skrillex, Spoon, Blur’s Damon Albarn, Neko Case, Disclosure, James Blake, Grimes, Janelle Monae and NYC locals Interpol, TV on the Radio and Sleigh Bells. There’ll also be a set from former Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso. Direct your attention to the finer print and you’ll spot an impressive slate of acts including Haerts, Bastille, Jason Isbell, Chance the Rapper, Kurt Vile, The Internet as well as Odd Future guys Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. Despite the event going down in June, fans can get their hands on tickets this afternoon.

Summer fest lineup announcements are in full swing. With Coachella, Hangout and Firefly lineups already out there, Governors Ball follows suit, with OutKast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend and Skrillex as top attractions. The New York City festival, held on Randall’s Island Park, will run June 6-8. Tickets go on sale today at 3 p.m. ET on the Governors Ball site. (USA Today)

Buzz behind OutKast teaming up and appearing at the annual event heated up the Internet last week.

The fest will be issuing hints about the rest of its lineup, which will feature over 80 artists, on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts in the coming days. The first of these looks like white noise on a television screen. The second is a picture of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur together. Governors Ball will announce its complete lineup, which may explain these pics, next week. Tickets to the fest will also go on sale next week. (Rolling Stone)

Before Governors Ball, the music duo will officially reunite at music festival Coachella in April.

The long-anticipated reunion of OutKast was made official on Wednesday as organisers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival released this year’s lineup of acts. The Atlanta hip-hop duo consisting of Andre 3000 and Big Boi will hit the Coachella stage at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California after a seven-year hiatus. ‘Share it like a polaroid picture! OutKast, Muse, Arcade Fire + more #Coachella,’ organizers of the annual music festival tweeted with a reference to Hey Ya! from OutKast’s 2003 double album. More than 150 acts, from ASAP Ferg to ZZ Ward, were included in the lineups for the music festival that will holds its first weekend of performances from April 11 to 13 and its second weekend from April 18 to 20.
