According to reports, a full-fledged reunion is expected to finally go down after years of speculation.

GNARLS BARKLEY IS GETTING BACK TOGETHER … so says lead singer CeeLo Green — and he even told us when it’s happening. A sleepy CeeLo blew into LAX early Sunday morning when he dropped the reunion news … following years of false promises about a new album. Prediction time — Outkast pretty much confirmed they’re performing at Coachella next year … and CeeLo first met Gnarls DJ Danger Mouse while touring with Outkast in the 90’s. All 4 remain friendly. So its highly possible the G.B. reunion could go down at the annual festival in Indio … alongside Outkast. (TMZ)

Gnarls Barkley are most known for their mid-2000’s success which included snagging a Grammy award.

Gnarls Barkley may be playing at California’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival next April, as the band’s longtime friends and musical collaborators Outkast recently confirmed they will be performing at the event. Gnarls Barkley’s 2006 song Crazy reached platinum in at least four countries and the tune won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2007. Cee Lo was hit with some legal adversity earlier this year, as he was charged with felony ecstasy possession. He was accused of spiking a woman’s drink with the drug in 2012, but in October of this year he entered a not guilty plea against the allegations. (Entertainmentwise)

Recently, Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco gushed over longtime veteran groups like OutKast reuniting.

“I don’t believe that,” Lupe said when told A Tribe Called Quest would never perform together again on-stage. “I don’t believe that — they’ve been together for 30 years or something like that. I don’t believe that but I understand people have their personal decisions. I didn’t grow up on A Tribe Called Quest, let me say that again. That’s what started the whole downfall with Lupe Fiasco. ‘I didn’t grow up on Tribe Called Quest, ‘But you made ‘Kick Push,’ eh, certain songs I rock with but I was listening to Spice-1. I’m sorry.’ … I hope that the Tribe Called Quest thing [isn’t true]. I hope it’s just them taking a break and they come back. I want OutKast to come back. I think these dudes are still credible, they still make great music. I still think Q-Tip’s one of the best producers of all time.” (“Whoolywood Shuffle”)

Recently, OutKast’s Big Boi unleashed photos of himself and Three Stacks reunited onto his Instagram page.

Last month, rumors started to fly that OutKast would be reuniting in 2014. While those rumors are still unconfirmed, fans of the group have reason to be encouraged. Yesterday, Big Boi posted pictures of he and Andre 3000 hanging out together in Atlanta. One picture shows the duo hanging out on Stewart Avenue, a street that has now been renamed in the city because of its connotations with crime, and the other shows them in an undisclosed location (a studio, perhaps?). In both, Big and Dre seem like they’re having fun. We can only hope this means the group is getting back to work. (XXL Mag)
