Roc Nation’s Rihanna is making headlines this week after landing a massive $25 million deal with electronics monster Samsung.

According to reports, the mega partnership means Samsung will sponsor RiRi’s upcoming album and tour.

The Rihanna deal follows seven months of talks and is the biggest music-marketing tie-up in recent memory. Hammering out the details took longer than expected in part because Rihanna made some last-minute tweaks to the album, sources said. (New York Post)

A few weeks ago, rumors surfaced about Roc Nation head Jay Z possibly working with Samsung.

The rap legend turned music entrepreneur stopped by the electronics giant’s Silicon Valley offices Wednesday for a hush-hush visit, suggesting that Samsung may be looking to strike a partnership with, or possibly even acquire Tidal. (Variety)

A picture of Jigga walking out of the electronics company’s office building surfaced in mid-October.

Last month, Jay Z announced the music streaming site’s platinum status.

  1. This news does not surprise me as Samsung had business ties to Jay-Z. Apple is against Tidal and it seems that Samsung has joined forces with Tidal to combat Apple.
