Hollywood actress Vivica A. Fox has dished on her new role on Fox’s hit “Empire” television show and what fans can expect from “Candace.”

Fox said her on-screen character’s storyline is the exact opposite of actress Taraji P. Henson‘s “Cookie” personality.

“When I got the script, I was like, ‘Wow, this is going to be juicy, because she’s totally different than Cookie,’ ” Fox tells PEOPLE. “She’s bougie. her life went a completely different direction that Cookie. That’s what’s going to make it interesting.” (People)

Vivica also gave her thoughts on Taraji blowing up on a global scale from “Empire.”

Fox has known Henson long before she earned mega-success on Empire, and says that the Empire breakout is now reaping the benefits for years of hard work. “Sometimes people get fame overnight with no skills and no talent,” says Fox. “When someone has really earned it, the grace that you see that comes with that is always beautiful.” (People)

Fox has promoted her new “Empire” character on Instagram over the past few days.

This week, “Empire” star Bryshere “Yazz” Gray talked about how he creates music for his on-screen character “Hakeem Lyon.”

His role on the show spawned a record deal with Columbia Records. “When I write music for Yazz, it’s my personal experiences and what’s going on in my life,” Gray, who performs musically under the name “Yazz the Greatest,” explains. “And when I write for the character, it’s all trendy, fun and playful.” (WWD)
