Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj’s brother’s publicized rape case reportedly stems from an incident last spring.
According to reports, the alleged crime happened in April.
Jelani’s charges are due to allegedly raping a child “he had access to” over the course of three months. The charge of felony rape stems from an April 1, 2015 incident, according to court documents obtained by HollywoodLife.com. If he’s found guilty, he faces between nine and 25 years in prison! Court papers reveal the superstar singer put up the $100,000 bond that sprang Jelani Maraj, 37, from custody in Nassau County on Friday after he was accused of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual conduct against the preteen. The bond is backed by a two homes in Baldwin that are owned by Minaj — one of which is used by her brother and the other by her mother, Carol. (Page Six)

Maraj allegedly raped a 12-year-old … this according to Newsday. Nicki is close to her older brother, and even paid $30k to help foot the bill for his wedding back in August. It appears authorities claim the rape happened on Long Island, NY. That’s where Maraj was arrested and later released on $100,000 bail. (TMZ)
