Moneybagg Yo shared more details of an upcoming film project that appears to be inspired by his life. In a 17 seconds-long video shared to his Instagram story, the Memphis rapper can be seen flipping through a script for an upcoming movie titled “If Pain Was a Person.” There are two writers for the script, and the story credit is attributed to Moneybagg himself.

Hyping up his fans, he said:

“Hope Y’all Ready! 👀🤔 Big Screen Bagg 🔥🎬#september.”

It appears the movie will either be released or announced in September, though no official announcement has been made. As Yo continued to flip through the pages, the names of several characters were also revealed.

In the Instagram Story, he also says: “Hey 50, let’s talk about it,” possibly trying to bring the Hip-Hop legend, 50 Cent onto the project.

Moneybagg released a song, If Pain Was A Person on his 2021 release, A Gangsta’s Pain.  On the song, that samples Luther Ingram’s hit song, “If Loving You Is Wrong,” Yo talks about betrayal by women and so-called friends:

“I been tryna figure out like why a mafucca want you to be loyal to them

When they ain’y loyal to you, ion – ion really get that

They be tryna show love in private because

They done told people people they don’t fuck with you in public and shit”

Rappers Taking Over The Big Screen

Moneybagg Yo isn’t the only rapper that will bring their talents from Hip-Hop to the big screen. Lil Baby took to Instagram to surprise fans by announcing a new documentary set to premiere on June 11 at the Tribeca film festival.
