[With the long-awaited “Money & Violence” season 2 TIDAL premiere finally here, creator Moise Vernau speaks to SOHH about the transition from having a small budget to landing at music mogul Jay Z’s growing streaming entertainment company.]

The funny thing about this new situation is I was under the impression that I would not be the one having to edit and I would have a little time to myself. But the truth is, I worked even harder.

I’m working even harder this season as far as directing, writing, overlooking the edits because I’m totally involved in this project. Although I’m not doing everything, I am overseeing it all.

I’m working 15, 16-hour days 7 days a week but I love it. At the end of the day, it’s a privilege and it’s truly a blessing. I don’t think there’s any amount of work that I have to do and at the end of the day I would look up to God and say, “Thank-you,” because this is a privilege.

The show is going to be anywhere from 44 minutes to an hour. We’re comparing ourselves to television and there’s usually commercials with TV for an hour-long drama.

“Money & Violence” season 2 premieres exclusively on TIDAL Tuesday, February 9.
