[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. p-lil-wayne.jpgLil Wayne. I put Lil Wayne on the list because his thing has always been about longevity. He’s been in this game for over ten years, putting out albums and mixtapes and that’s what it’s about. It’s about longevity. That’s why I respect him and I put him first because of the longevity he has in the game and how he’s still coming with hot lines. I definitely tip my hat to this man.

p-50-cent.jpg50 Cent. I put 50 Cent on there because he came out with a nice album and he went into the acting thing and the Vitamin Water. He was more than a rapper.

p-young-jeezy.jpgYoung Jeezy. That first album was crazy. That Thug Motivation, you could put that in and roll. I’m going off people I actually listen to. I remember listening to his album in junior high school.

master-p-2012-08-05-50x65.jpgMaster P. When Master P was out, oh man. I want to say No Limit, but I can’t just say No Limit. That “Make ‘Em Say Ugh” was the first, explicit rap single CD that I actually bought. My mom tried to hide his music from me because of all the vulgar language. That’s like my first rap song that I was ever “really” into.

p-kanye-west.jpgKanye West. I was definitely rocking Kanye when he came out. I went to Kanye for a couple of reasons. I think he brought something new to the game. I think he wasn’t scared to switch his style up and stand out. I think he speaks his mind when he wants to. He makes his own beats and that’s dope.
