According to reports, the Doc made his big real estate deal by getting rid of his Hollywood mansion.

Dr. Dre is determined to ball like a billionaire, and he moved close to that goal … by dropping his fancy Hollywood Hills crib for big money. Dre just scored $32.5 million for his posh pad in the exclusive bird streets hood … which is home to Leo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, and a ton of other celebs. (TMZ)

The multi-platinum-selling producer purchased the home four years ago.

Dre bought the six-bedroom home in December 2011 for $15.4 million through a trust, according to property records. He listed the property for $35 million in June. The mansion spans 9,696 square feet and overlooks downtown Los Angeles from the Hollywood Hills. (Business Insider)

Dre made headlines last summer when he put the home up for sale.

Dr. Dre has popped his Hollywood Hills West home on the market at $35 million. The contemporary estate he just listed has 9,696 square feet of living space and includes a library/media room, a den, a wine cellar, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms. There’s a guesthouse and a swimming pool on the three-quarter-acre lot, which has 300-degree views of the city, mountains and ocean. (Los Angeles Times)

After mounted speculation, the Doc finally cashed-in on a Cali dream home last summer.

The sale of the Brentwood, Calif., mansion for $40 million, which was first reported in May, became official Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times. The New England Patriots quarterback and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, purchased the property for $11.75 million in 2008 and built the 18,298-square-foot home — which includes such amenities as a gym, a sauna, a pool and seven fireplaces — over the ensuing four years.
