After Hot 97 radio veteran Mister Cee made headlines for a public lewdness arrest last week, the alleged male prostitute caught with him has come out to set the record straight.

According to Cee’s accomplice, Brooklyn aka Pink Lady, the police report is not true.

“I kinda just wanted to set the record straight and let everybody know that nothing, indeed, happened in that car,” Brooklyn said in a self recorded video. “I feel like it’s an Internet blog that got totally out of hand. A lot of things I read are just totally not true about me and my character. I’m not a transsexual, I’m a drag queen…I feel like the media in a whole has made me out to be this person, I feel just to get at him for some reason or to get a story. It’s definitely not true. I’m definitely not a prostitute. I’m not, in any way, shape or form. I don’t do things like that. I don’t have sex for money. I don’t need to have sex for money. I make enough money on my own…I feel like people, nowadays, will do anything and everything for money. This whole thing I feel like just a big a** entertainment scheme. I don’t understand why I was brought into it.” (YouTube)

Last week, a police report on Cee’s arrest hit the Internet.

Lebrun, known as “Mister Cee” on Hot 97, was nabbed along with Lawrence Campbell, 20, according to a criminal complaint sworn by Officer Lindsay Agard. The cop reported spotting Campbell (who used the name “Brooke-Lynn Pinklady” on his just-deleted Facebook page) “manipulating” Lebrun’s “exposed, naked, and erect penis” with his “mouth and lips in an up-and-down motion consistent with oral sex.” The duo was collared March 30 in a car parked on Manhattan’s far West Side, two blocks from the Holland Tunnel. Following the news, rap star 50 Cent spoke on Cee’s publicized situation.

“It’s only entertaining because he means that much to hip-hop culture and his association to it,” 50 told Hot 97 personality Miss Info. “I recognize Mister Cee as the guy who introduced us to 50. So he means that much to the culture. A lot of the kids who hear the radio don’t hear him the same way. I’ve played my albums for Mister Cee. Every album before it came out to see what he thought. When this type of stuff happens, you keep pushing…They can say what they want about it, how about if you say, ‘I’m Rick James, b*tch.’ [laughs] How about if you say I don’t care? Who is to judge you other when there is an audience that’s probably one of the strongest audiences if you look at Lady Gaga’s career that says that that’s fine. If you say it’s not fine, then you’re gonna get attacked. You’re gonna write apology notes.” (Celebrity Drama)

Hot 97’s Miss Info explained her decision to avoid addressing Cee’s case.

Now in the case of Mr. Cee’s “scandalous” arrest, it’s more than just not caring enough about the story to include it. Obviously. So that’s not the reason for the “silent treatment.” But, aside from having this blog, I am also part of a company. And within that company, there is a family atmosphere. Do some of you have rules at your jobs? Or am I the only one who has to follow guidelines from higher ups? Sometimes guidelines are frustrating. But as long as I am not asked to cover up anything or misrepresent something, I understand when I need to wait for official statement or follow a company lead. In this particular case, I also don’t mind, because I fully admit that I know and like Mr. Cee. So I want confirming details (which I think the Smoking Gun post has) and ideally a direct response. There is no direct response from Mr. Cee. But he knows what 50 and I discussed, and knows that I will be publishing it. (Miss Info TV)

Mister Cee is scheduled to appear in court on June 1st.
