Former Hot 97 personality Mister Cee has come forward to explain his unexpected resignation from the renowned New York radio station.
Although his days at Hot 97 are over, Cee said he wants his music career to keep blossoming.
“I would love to continue to be on radio if the opportunity arises. I would love to do radio whether it’s on-air or [other] programming. I would love to take a shot at being a program director or a music director at a radio station. I would love to continue to be in the music industry in any form. If an offer came to me in regards to working at a record label, depending on the situation, I would love to. Music is in my blood. I’m still going to DJ parties. I’m still booked up to DJ parties.” (XXL Mag)

Cee also talked about his brand making a nationwide run.
“I plan on taking my show on the road and traveling more often throughout the country and world to do events. I never really got the opportunity to do that when I was on Hot 97 because when I was at the station, I was also the mix show coordinator. It wasn’t just about me being a DJ. I got a lot of offers to go around the country and do events but with Enuff traveling and Cipha Sounds on the road, somebody has got to hold the fort down. I was always the one that was like, “I can’t really take those dates now. I gotta stay here and make sure everything is good at the station.”” (XXL Mag)
Cee alerted fans of his decision across social media on November 21.
Prior to Cee’s alert, Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex broke the big news via Instagram.
