Hot 97's Mister Cee has come forward to deny speculation of him owning a Twitter account in light of serious tweets making rounds online this past week.
Despite tweets coming from an alleged Mister Cee Twitter account, the music veteran said he is not on the popular social network site.
“First and foremost, let me say that I am not on Twitter. There’s a person that’s on twitter “Real_Mistercee” with the whole I might kill myself… That is not me. I am not on Twitter at all. I’m on Instagram. I’m saying that just to say what I been getting from social media, it’s been positive. I would say 85 percent positive and 15 percent negative. But even with some of the negative it’s like, “I don’t condone what you do, but I’m glad you came forward.” And some of the comments are just outlandish, homophobic slurs and what not, but I’ve been dealing with that for two years since my first incident in 2011 anyway.” (XXL Mag)
A few days ago, someone impersonating Cee jumped onto Twitter with a suicidal post.
“@incarceratedbob I let everyone down I have issues please don’t give up on me. I need help, just can’t deal right now. Maybe better off dead,” Mister Cee tweeted September 11.
“I announced my resignation today from the job I loved to do at Hot 97 , please understand i never intended to let NY/NJ/CT all my fans down”
“Foreal @Real_MisterCee your personal life is your business sir. I just want dope a** mixes from you that’s it…. F*CK everything else,” Cee retweeted. (Mister Cee’s Twitter)
Early Thursday, Cee acknowledged footage surfacing online this week of him with a cross-dresser and claimed that’s what it took to speak out.
“I am tired of trying to do something or be something that I’m not,” Cee said in an interview with the Hot 97 morning show. “I’m tired. I’m tired. Have I lied about getting sexual fellatio in a car with a transsexual? Yes. I have lied about that. I feel bad for the listeners that it did take a video for me to say this. I have been in denial for this for a very, very long time. A very long time. Now, the funny part of it, and I know I’m going to get hit with social media when I say this, but I’m going to say it anyway. Do I consider myself gay? No. I don’t consider myself gay. I do, I have gotten fellatio from transvestites and that’s as far as it went. I’ve never had actual sexual intercourse with another man and vice versa. That has never been done to me. I have had fellatio with a transsexual person. The person who I was in the car with, I knew exactly who that person is. That’s neither here or there.” (Hot 97)
