According to reports, Missy did not arrive on time for her scheduled performance on Saturday, July 3rd.

Missy Elliot was reportedly kicked off the stage at last weekend’s Wireless Festival after she exceeded her performance time slot. The rapper was said to have arrived 20 minutes late for her set at the gig in London’s Hyde Park but attempts to make up for her lateness with an extended performance were thwarted by the event’s organisers. Reports claim the show’s executives had her sound cut off during the performance.

Missy, who performed hits like Work It, Pass That Dutch and Get Ur Freak On, announced to festival-goers: “(I’m the) flyest s**t in the house”. She also raised eyebrows when she mimed during bits of her set and brought on stage her new protege Sharaya, who didn’t bother to sing live either. (Metro UK News)

Despite Elliot’s set, Jay-Z also performed at the London event.

He told fans: “I feel like London is my second home, all of a sudden”, before he marked Independence Day by projecting a large US flag behind him during his set. During a megamix of ‘Girls, Girls’, Girls’ and ’03 Bonnie And Clyde’ he urged everyone to “grab a jacket and throw it in the air”, before he threw his coat at an eager female fan. (NME News)

Elliot is reportedly releasing a new album sometime this year.

Missy Elliott has her seventh studio album “Block Party” scheduled to be released this year after it was pushed back for several times. The upcoming release will include songs featuring the likes of Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Jazmine Sullivan. (Peace FM Online)
