The First Lady Michelle Obama can’t hide her love for Jay Z and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter after being spotted at the married music duo’s “On the Run” tour concert last night (July 24).
According to reports, Mrs. Obama and her daughters were both in attendance at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
The First Lady chaperoned Malia and Sasha to packed Soldier Field in Chicago — and a concertgoer lined up the whole fam in the background of her selfie … and then pushed it out to the world on Instagram. As we first told you … Michelle called a photo agency earlier this month, and got it to take down shots of Malia walking into a restaurant that’s a known paparazzi spot. The Chi town selfie reveals a huge flaw in the White House’s desire to keep the girls out of the public spotlight … unless they’re with the President. (TMZ)
Last year, Mrs. Obama credited her daughters for putting her up on Odd Future’s Frank Ocean.
“They don’t really listen to us,” Michelle said when asked if she gives her kids musical suggestions. “They try to hip us to stuff, you know, I learned about Elle Varner because of Malia and they like Frank Ocean, we are Beyoncé devotes. But there’s some music that they’ll tell us, ‘I think the music is too rough for you.’ I’m like, ‘Really?’ … They don’t allow us to just listen to anything. They’re looking out for our well-being.” (“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”)
In 2012, Beyoncé inked an open letter to the First Lady.
“Michelle, is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman. She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the FIRST LADY!!!! No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope – she’s humble, loving, and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways. Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us – I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to. Love, Beyonce.” (Beyonce)
Her comments did not go unnoticed and sparked a reaction from Mrs. Obama.
“@Beyonce Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to. -mo,” she tweeted April 13th.
