Rappers Method Man, Ja Rule, Nelly, Ice Cube and more showed their support for BET by helping celebrate the 10th anniversary of long-running television show "106 & Park."

Presented as a two-hour special beginning at 6 PM EST yesterday, the show featured live appearances from across the United States.

Original hosts AJ and Free, along with Big Tigger, reminisced from Los Angeles’ Hollywood & Highland Center with guests Ciara, Ice Cube, Ray J, Ne-Yo, and Jamie Foxx. Julissa Bermudez held it down in North Carolina with Plies, and current hosts Terrence and Rocsi welcomed Chris Brown, Ashanti, Nelly, Trey Songz, Method Man, Keri Hilson, Ja Rule, Nick Cannon, and “Mr. 106 & Park” himself Bow Wow in New York City. On Tuesday, the program’s former and current hosts also celebrated its decade-long run.

BET aired “106 & Park: 10 Years and Counting,” a one-hour special that trotted out the show’s original hosts AJ and Free, along with their successors, Tigger & Julissa and of course,Terrence and Rocsi. The six hosts talked about the impact that “106 & Park” had on both themselves and the network. (Examiner)

Former host Free also hit up Twitter to speak on the celebration.

Prior to the celebration, BET executive Stephen Hill released a statement speaking on the significance of the show’s ten-year run.

“Who would have thought that this little show that began September 11, 2000, with nervous producers and even more nervous first time hosts would turn into this highly successful, influential, game-changing daily energetic program about, from and to youth culture?” (Statement)
