Megan Thee Stallion has had an ongoing feud with her label, 1501 Entertainment. The new occurrence in the battle reveals that she was recently granted a restraining order against the independent Houston label.
Megan Is Granted a Restraining Order
Megan Thee Stallion was officially granted a restraining order against her label 1501 Certified Entertainment. The Houston rapper has been in an ongoing public feud with the label, whom she accuses of sabotaging her career.
According to Rolling Stone, Billboard reports the restraining order was over the label attempting to block her from promoting music. The court order comes ahead of the American Music Awards on November 20, where Megan is nominated for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.”
Meg With Receipts
Firstly, the document claims the label “unlawfully” took steps “to block” or interfere with Megan’s career by exploiting or publishing her music leading up to the AMAs. In an order filed to Harris County District Court, the “Plan B” rapper provided evidence that the label “will continue to engage in threatening and retaliatory behavior that will irreparably harm.”
One Thing After Another
Megan, who is already dealing with an ongoing case with Tory Lanez, has had various problems with her in 2022. In February, she filed a $1 million lawsuit and asked for her freedom from the label, resulting in 1501 countersuing and saying she still owed them money and albums.
In addition, Megan has accused 1501 executive Carl Crawford of being a “coward” and hiding behind label boss J. Prince.
