Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross is upping the ante for locked up protégé Meek Mill by promising the rapper's long-awaited sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is a certified classic.
Along with overseeing Meek’s new LP, Ross said he is focused on getting his entire MMG family’s projects out to the masses.
“I don’t think for just myself anymore, I think for my team, too. I put a lot of time into my situation I have over at Atlantic Records with all my artists. We just announced Meek Mill’s new release date, September 9th of this year. This is going to be a classic album. But I also equate those into my situation too. I also take those records into my account, I want to see all the homies take off of the strip. That’s when I’m most comfortable, just to see Meek and Wale and Gunplay – the whole team on sizzle. So I may touch sooner than later.” (Bullet Media)
Barring any changes, Meek’s highly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Dreams & Nightmare debut will arrive September 9.

Meek broke down the meaning behind his new album a few weeks ago.
“‘Cause the dreams is worth more than money. At first we was doing it for the love of the money. Gotta make some m’s but now you know we got the money. Well, I got the money, and right now my other n*ggas is trying to touch them m’s too.” (HHS1987)
The Philadelphia native also dished on a few big name collaborations he had on deck.
“The hottest n*ggas in the game. Trying to get [Jay Z] on my sh*t, Rihanna on my sh*t, Drake on my sh*t, whoever the best. Kendrick. I want to spit with the best and only work with the best of the best. And the people that f*ck with me. If I don’t f*ck with you then I don’t want to do no song with you. Earlier this year, Meek revealed his long-awaited solo album’s title.
Titled Dreams Worth More Than Money, the new album will be hitting shelves this summer, according to Meek, who was alongside his MMG captain during his Mastermind spectacular held at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles. The announcement of the new album arrives as the Philly rapper has been teasing fans with an upcoming track called “She Don’t Know,” which features Ty Dolla $ign. (REVOLT TV)
