Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill has a determined legal team. New reports claim the jailed rapper’s attorney has filed an emergency motion to get him freed on bail.

According to reports, Meek’s lawyer filed the motion Tuesday (November 28) to have him released on bail and singled out Judge Genece Brinkley for going ghost.

“As of this filing, more than 10 days after submission [Brinkley] has taken no action — not even to schedule a hearing — on any petitioner’s motions, and in particular not on the bail motion,” the emergency habeas corpus petition says. Habeas corpus motions are typically a last resort after a criminal defendant has exhausted other avenues of appeal. And legally, Brinkley has 30 days to respond to Mill’s Nov. 14 motions. (Philly)

Yesterday, Reverend Al Sharpton spoke out on meeting Meek in jail.

Earlier the same day, buzz developed about Sharpton coming to Meek’s defense.

Civil rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton is expected to visit Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill in a Chester, Delaware County prison on Monday. The hip hop star’s attorneys claim the judge’s sentence was too harsh, adding that the District Attorney’s office did not recommend any jail time for the probation violation. (6 ABC News)

A few days ago, NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick shared a message to fans from Meek.
