Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill handed the keys to his Atlanta mansion to fellow rapper Rick Ross, according to a FOX 5 Atlanta report.

On April 10, the “Going Bad” rapper, who aimed to come into 2023 with a fresh start after he was pardoned on drug and gun charges, tweeted that he was trying to sell the house for two years before Ross bought it. Ross paid the hefty $4.2 million price in cash. The mansion, located in Buckhead, features eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a movie theater, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a sauna, and a jacuzzi.

Meek’s Fresh Start

Ross also owns a massive mansion in Fayetteville, Ga. where he also keeps many animals such as his pet buffalos, who briefly ran away this past March before they were returned.

Along with selling the house to Ross, part of Meek’s fresh start in his career was sparked by issues with Ross and his label, Maybach Music Group, or MMG. Meek and Ross’ past label beef began after Meek wanted to leave the label due to an alleged bad record deal. The two artists made amends and performed together at Meek’s Dreams & Nightmares‘ 10th anniversary in Philadelphia on Nov. 26, 2022.

In January 2022, Meek also expressed that he wanted to drop an upcoming mixtape independently on the  Block Chain.

Another rapper who recently sold his house was rap superstar Drake, who put his Hidden Hills, Ca. The mansion was up for sale for almost $15 million in March 2022.
