Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill might ride with the Philadelphia 76ers for life but he’s putting some respect on LeBron James‘ name. The hip-hop star has saluted King James’ latest NBA milestone.
Last night, Meek Milly acknowledged the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar passing NBA icon Michael Jordan as the all-time playoffs scoring leader.
Back in February, rap star 2 Chainz called King James one of the NBA’s greatest.
Recently, music mogul Jay Z acknowledged James’ unreal on-court and off-court talent.
“Titles in Miami, then he returned to his hometown to lead his Cleveland Cavaliers to their first championship in franchise history. That was superhuman though. But aside from the fierce competitor and dominating basketball player that is LeBron James, who is LeBron James? The individual. Philanthropist. The man LeBron James is even better than the basketball player is hard to believe. Rap veteran Sadat X previously talked to SOHH about King James’ greatness.
“It’s still New York Knicks all day but I coached high school basketball for a few years. When LeBron James was just 13-years-old, he was the top 13-year-old in the country. When he was 14, he was the top 14-year-old in the country. Every year that he’s aged from 13 and up, he’s been the top person in that age bracket. So for him to do what he’s done and everyone at ESPN saying he’s not a warrior, this-and-that, he ‘is’ a warrior. His game is just a little bit different than everybody else. When he gets a full head of steam going up and down that court, I dare you to stand in front of him. I feel sometimes he just gets a bad rap. I think he’s the top player in the game. Everyone says he’s not Michael Jordan, well nobody is going to be Jordan. Nobody is ever going to be Mike. Mike is Mike.
