Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill isn't here promoting beef. The hip-hop entertainer has come forward to weigh-in on his protégé Yung Ro getting caught up in a publicized feud with West Coast rap artist Blueface.
Last night, MM went to Twitter to urge fans to resist trying to fuel the rift and also fall back on dragging his name into the situation.
Last week, Ro sparked headlines after saying he would not take a record deal signing to spend on jewelry.
“Listen, why would I walk around with $50,000.00 worth of jewelry on my neck, and my momma ain’t got no motherf*cking house, my grandma still on dialysis. … How am I gonna look to them – just spent 50 [thousand] on jewelry, it takes like 30 [thousand] for my grandma to get off dialysis… Man sh*t crazy! No I got to get them right then you gonna see me icing myself up, you gonna see me walking in designer shoes.”
The remarks ultimately generated a reaction from Blueface questioning Ro’s decision-making.
“If you sign a deal and you can’t afford 50 for a chain and 50 to get your granny off dialysis an another 100 for to put down on yo momma house you shouldn’t have signed that – invest in ya self a chain is more then a chain in this rap shyt its all about da image it’s not about how good you rap or how good you freestyle its 2020 it’s a popularity contest you get paid based off how cool you look an how much you appeal to your fan base it’s a new rapper every every 5 min you gotta sticc if you want longevity in this shyt y do think people notice if you don’t have a chain”
Ro also made things extra dicey by checking Blue about his sister.
