New York radio personality Charlamagne Tha God ripped Meek’s diss song on “The Breakfast Club” Friday (July 31) morning.

NBA star Brandon Jennings and rapper Safaree Samuels poked fun at the situation on social media.

Meek has remained a center of attention on social media since the diss track dropped.

Last night (July 30), Meek released his hard-hitting “Wanna Know” Drake diss song.

“If you ain’t write that runnin’ through the six sh*t,” Meek raps. “Tell us who the f*ck was Quentin [Miller] running through the six with … Did he write it for you ’cause you know you never did sh*t – we the type of n*ggas tie your mother up/F*ck your sister in the a** and hit your brother up/You really sweet, I call you buttercup – You should have just said nothing, now you’re going to have to give me a check to stop – All I hear is platinum that, platinum this, meanwhile I’m on the carpet with a platinum chick. … Puffy almost caught a domestic when he slapped that b*tch. … You let Tip homie piss on you in the movie theater, n*gga, we ain’t forget. [laughs] This sh*t is lit, this that Ja Rule sh*t and 50 Cent.” (“Wanna Know”)

  1. how is drake taking credit for some else pin even tho he paid any different from meek taking credit for his homies tales / their gunplay action

    • That shit didn’t even make sense. So an artist can’t talk about something unless he did it? So the white cat that wrote Friday the 13th shouldn’t have written it cause he didn’t kill anybody? Ice Cube wrote Friday, he shouldn’t have wrote it because he really wasn’t friends with Chris Tucker before the movie? The equivalent to what you may mean is Ice Cube taking full credit for writing the movie when DJ Pooh actually wrote the whole thing. Compare that to Drake and it makes sense.

      • no actually what i was saying is whats the big deal shit happens…drake is a singer actor then rapper under singing and acting his lines are made for him…so what im saying is because he is not a traditional rapper he cant be held to the same standard…..
so in short again what i mean is drake taking credit for some one pen is no different then meek taking credit for someone elses gun….they equal drake use other people rhymes meek use other people story ….they both sign their names to things that are not a 100% theres so why argue….

  2. What if you found out Jay-Z, Nas, Jadakis, Eminem or Pac didn’t write their stuff. My whole late teens, early twenties would be ruined. Would they still be on people top MC list. I think that answer is no. Why does this guy get a pass. I do mess with his music, but in my eyes he can’t talk about being the best,(maybe best entertainer, not MC).

      • Nigga all that means is that he’s been writing his shit since 2014. You act like the nigga couldn’t have had another ghostwriter befor then. Yall cats kill me. I think this is a battle that Meek should bow out of, cause it ain’t about talent anymore. Drake shit was so week that the only line yall quoting is something about turning trigger fingers into Twitter fingers. Nigga that’s it? Damn. I’m not even a fan of Meek, hate that hollering shit, but this nigga came back with all facts and yall niggas is “Stanning” so much that yall are completely acting like he ain’t say shit. The only way Meek survives this shit is by not responding anymore. He better ask Jarule what happens when you keep trying to win a battle against an artist’s fans.

        • Still most of drakes songs are personal as fuck, and his change of flow didn’t occur til around 2013-14. So I doubt ghostwriting was always around. Drake always had some lyrics, even right after the degrassi era. Idk, to me it just seems like he reached out for help to stay on top while he’s already there, but at least he got himself there. Give him credit for that. Meek isn’t likeable in this feud because he exposed drake, he isn’t likeable because he had no motive in the first place. It’s like beating up a bully, and everyone loves the nerd that prevails. I believe drake got lazy recently and wanted help, but didn’t need it, do you see how fast his responses were to those diss tweets. That had to be all him

          • His change of style didn’t come in 2013-2014. The beginning of his career he sounded exactly like Kanye.

I remember a song he did and people actually thought it was actually Kanye and Kanye ended up addressing it and showing love. When people started to question it, he said kanye was very influential to him and 40.

Then on the mixtapes he and Nikki would start to sound like Wayne. That’s when and why THEY blew and no one else on YM did.

Do I care he uses a ghostwriter today? No, because I’ve always knew what they were doing. But I tell u this, just bcuz these reference tracks were just recently leaked, please don’t believe these were the only.

Food for thought. If Quentin Miller were to come out with an album, he will only be received as another Travis Scott. If Travis Scott would have leaked reference tracks for ALL of the artists he’s written for prior to releasing his own music, he wouldn’t come across as a Kanye wanna be.

HINT: there’s a reason Drake sounded just like Kanye early on in his career and Kanye and Drake both embraced it. 🙂

            T.I’s camp knows this.

If u connect the dots, then u would understand Drakes style didn’t just change in 2013-2014. It changed when a certain somebody got a deal.

          • Good food for thought. I wasn’t really into Kanye to tell that. No one really knows but shoutout to drake for turning what could’ve been a bad situation into a victory laugh

    • Pac is on a higher level than all the names you mentioned with his. Stop being disrespectful to Pac’s legacy!

  3. I feel him to a degree about the WWE/Fake nature of the game but its funny coming from someone dating Nikki and being signed to a former C.O with the stage name Rick Ross

    • That’s been my point from the jump. You are part of this so called industry you keep calling out. All this shit Drake does with reference tracks, you and your own camp do. Dude who used to be in your crew has been saying for awhile he was giving you lines and shit, so what the fuck are we talking about? Now, if he was out here airing out dude because he was talking about being in Memphis with his Pops and shit because it was a lie or that you were actually trying to spit some meaningful shit instead of a more retarded version of the same shit Drake’s saying with the same repetitive subjects, then he’d have a point. At the end of the day we’re talking about pop songs from pop rappers, so again, wtf are we talking about again?

  4. Even if Drake does write his own stuff, he is nothing special as an emcee. Has hip hop really gotten to such a low point where people call him lyrical or great? The dude knows how to make hits! Can’t deny that. Catchy hooks, he picks good beats, and raps about shit everyone is rapping about and supposedly relating to. His lyrics are completely fabricated just like his personality, don’t believe me? Look up his Degrassi days. Completely different person. Am I hating on his hustle? Nope, get that money. But does it hurt to hear him being called great and having him compared to Nas and other legends, YES! He is your big name mainstream rapper that is decent at best. Anybody that disagrees definitely didn’t grow up in the 90’s when rappers were actually spitting.

    • Who has been saying otherwise though except his fans, and those are the same fans who were telling you that Wayne was the best thing ever, and those were the same fans that were telling you that 50 was the best thing ever, and the same fans that were telling you that Ja Rule was the best thing ever, and the same fans that were telling you that Master P was the best thing ever. You know who you like don’t you? Support that shit and understand pop music is part of this hip hop shit and is going to be the lion’s share of the mainstream shit you hear because those 3 major labels don’t give a fuck about the culture, bars, freestyling, or none of that shit. They want some iTunes sales to go with that other shit you can do to put some greed in their hand from your 360 deal. And btw, Meek is in the same predicament except he can’t rap and ain’t breaking even on his record deal loans, which is why somebody else will be in his spot in in 5 years, hell in 2 with this suicide to his career he just committed.

  5. meek aint smart enough to make a good diss all he can say is that hes real…for whatever reason he thinks makes a person real and thats about it. hes not gonna stop drake from doing shows or anything else in real life.

  6. It aint hard to tell Pussy got this nigga all in his fealings…….Did drake fuck ur Bitch?

  7. yeah the game is done. cosigning this shit. iggy gets flack for having ghost writers, but drake gets praised for it and all of the excuses in the world. you niggers are lame

  8. Meek still has to do another diss track before Drake is required to respond. Hopefully it’s better than this trash though.

  9. make said he don’t care about a certain someone and even went out his way to prove it. But now he’s saying it’s not accept to tell on someone and still be the man. I don’t know what to believe…
