Yesterday, Judge Genece Brinkley shut down prosecutors’ attempt to have her toss out a past conviction during Meek’s hearing.

Philly’s D.A. Office made a rare move Monday morning in court … asking Judge Genece Brinkley to toss the 2008 conviction because it says prosecutors back then were fully aware Meek’s arresting officer, Reginald Graham, was dirty — but sat on the info. If the conviction were tossed, that would mean Meek’s probation violation would go out the window, too — and he would be released from the Pennsylvania prison where he’s serving 2-4 years. However, Judge Brinkley did not sign off, and, instead, scheduled a hearing on the matter for June. That means Meek has to sit in prison until then … at least. (TMZ)

In a new interview, Meek’s ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj addressed his stint and revealed her personal convo with Judge Brinkley.

“You know what, I don’t want to talk about legal things but I will say you know, every now and then, anyway, I won’t go there. I’ll save some of those things for my album and I’m also shooting a documentary. What I will say now is – oh God – I will say that the judge in question did everything I asked of her. I can’t badmouth her because I met her personally and I know what she said to us and he knows that but of course I wouldn’t wish jail on anybody. But like I said, I’ll get into detail on that in the documentary and possibly on the album but what I will say made me shed tears was seeing his mother cry. That was the first time I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t take it.’ During the relationship, she was so sweet to me and even at the end when we both kinda knew it was too rocky, too bad to – she always, always showed me so much love. So I still care about her. I didn’t like seeing her cry the other day.” (Beats 1)
