Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill is calling who has next. The hip-hop star has delivered a strong co-sign to music rookie Tierra Whack.
Meek went to Instagram this week to officially declare Tierra a legit industry threat.
Recently, Tierra talked about the rap game grind and her respect for Meek Milly.
“I actually can’t pick a specific sound because I’m always just experimenting. It’s all about a mood I’m in or an emotion, like me trying to express an emotion. Right now, I’m kind of relaxed, thinking. … [Meek Mill’s] a mentor for everybody in Philly. He was the template. You got to get out and rap to whoever you got to rap to and get to where you got to go.” (Revolt TV)
Back in late May, Whack put out her emotionally-driven “Whack World” video.
Last year, Tierra dished on the motivation to change her rap alias.
“T-Dizzle aka (Dizzle Dizz) was a nickname I was given by my friends from Philly in the neighborhood I grew up in. I was like 15 when that happened just freestyling anywhere there was a crowd. I decided I wanted to use my real name “Tierra Whack” when I decided I wanted to make music my career.” (Pigeons & Planes)
