Lately, public figures have been coming forward to give their two cents on the changes Instagram has made on its platform.

This past Monday, Philly rapper Meek Mill called Instagram out about its new algorithm on Twitter.

The “House Party” rapper said:

“Been on these apps 10 years 7 days a week … you can tell they being controlled … I could post 10 phones with different account won’t see my post until the next day what is that? And it’s on all my homies pages too?”

“Who do we pay to turn our social medias back up because they turned our reach all the way down … I need a instagram rep or something asap”

One fan commented under one of his rants, saying:

“They want you to buy into their system with ads first. They make you pay to access your own followers ”

Meek isn’t the only celebrity questioning the social media platform.

Recently, Kylie Jenner and her sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, who have over 800m followers combined, also publicly complained, which led to a response from Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri.

The reality stars reposted an image on their stories that read:

“Make Instagram Instagram Again.”

One day later, the CEO seemingly responded by saying:

“If you’re seeing a new, full-screen version of a feed or you’re hearing about it, know that this is a test,” Adam explained. “It’s a test to a few percentage of people out there, and the idea is that a more full-screen experience, not only for video but for photos, might be a bit more fun and engaging experience. But I also want to be clear, it’s not yet good.”

Instagram users and fans reacted, agreeing that the platform needs to go back to its original way.

One user said:

“Just stop changing all the time…, and make our followers see our photos Again ….”

The last time Kyle Jenner publicly complained about a social media platform, it was Snapchat, which quickly lost over $1B.

Could this be the beginning of the end for Instagram? Only time will tell.
