Young Money’s Drake has a lot of explaining to do after allegedly getting caught this past weekend making out with tennis superstar Serena Williams.
Footage and pictures of the possible overnight couple emerged online Monday (August 24).
Here it is … proof Drake and Serena Williams are officially a thing — making out at a fancy Cincinnati restaurant Sunday night … and TMZ has the pics. Hours after Serena dominated and won the WTA tournament in Cinci — with Drake in the crowd — the two hit up the uber-fancy Sotto restaurant in downtown for some hoity-toity Italian food (the porterhouse is $85). Approached by media last month, Williams put a swift end to any romance speculation with Drizzy by her side.
On Thursday, when Williams beat Maria Sharapova in the semifinals, Drake was at Centre Court. Then he showed up at Williams’ news conference, too. So a reporter asked Williams whether Drake might be a “lucky mascot.” Williams rolled her eyes. Drake laughed, leaned forward and covered his face. “We’ve been friends for, like, so many years,” Williams said. “Just like family.” (Herald Online)
Prior to those remarks, Drizzy has posted up pictures, including one of Serena, from a Wimbledon tennis tournament.
Back in 2012, Williams said heartbreak had forced her to fall back on dating.
The 30-year-old American star, whose last serious relationship is believed to have been with the US rapper Common, said: ‘I’ve given up on dating. The last relationship was just too much of a heartbreak for me. ‘I have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so.’ Elaborating on her situation today, the former Wimbledon champion added: ‘I’ve just had bad luck in love. If it doesn’t work, just leave it alone, right? ‘I think in general I have much better commitment to tennis now. I really feel 100 per cent. I love being on the court – I love every moment. This is what I live for.’ (Daily Mail)
In 2011, she addressed romance rumors linking her to Drizzy.
She looked around to her supporters — her father Richard, and, elsewhere, Toronto rapper Drake. Later, she would sigh exaggeratedly when asked what the deal is between her and the 24-year-old musical polymath. “Oh, man. Really?” she said. “We’re really close friends. Can’t be too close to a friend nowadays, I guess.” (Toronto Star)
I definitely would rather be banging Nicki.
I know those backshots was breathtaking
