Good went to Instagram last night (May 11) to pay her own homage to Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover‘s new visual.
According to reports, “This Is America” is headed toward a Billboard Hot 100 top spot debut.
The song, fueled by its socially-conscious video, could dethrone Drake’s “Nice for What.” Driven in large part by its buzzy, socially-conscious video, Childish Gambino’s new single “This Is America” should challenge for a No. 1 on debut on next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated May 19); the Hot 100 blends weekly streaming, airplay and sales data, according to Nielsen Music. In a new interview, fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug confirmed Gambino’s headed toward retirement and revealed he would land on his final LP.
“He got in touch with Reese LaFlare. I think they cool, friends or whatever. He told him to come to the [s[studio]He said he has a song for me for his last album. I tweeted one time, I was like, ‘I bet I be on Gambino’s last album.’ I’m on his last album, it’s crazy. He’s really not making music after this. A few days ago, pop singer Adele shared her love for Donald Glover and acknowledged his greatness.
Dirty 30! I’m not sure what I’m going to do for the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far. Thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride the last 11 years with me. My family and friends for entertaining my super fandom of the Titanic movie. Last night was the best night of my life. Here’s a couple pics. I’m absolutely fucked, not sure I’ll make it out the house again! Ps Childish Gambino how the hell do you have time to offer us so much greatness on so many platforms. I adore you x
