Fans hoping to see more of "Love & Hip Hop" star Chrissy Lampkin will have their wish granted in the near future as she has confirmed speculation of a new reality series featuring her and fiancé/rapper Jim Jones.
Although the reality show is a go, Lampkin said they are still working on an official name.
“Jimmy and I have our own show now,” she revealed in an interview. “There’s definitely gonna be drama. We love each other but we don’t always see eye to eye. We respect each other but just like any other relationship, it gets rocky. I really don’t know [the title yet]. I really wanted ‘Me and Mrs. Jones’ but Kelis and Nas already used that.” (VIBE)
She also reflected on her issues with the drama behind “Love & Hip Hop.”
“I was easily angered because I signed up for something that was supposed to be about girl power and women embracing each other in this crazy world of hip-hop; I thought it was gonna be more of a support thing instead of Gladiators. It felt like they would always bring somebody to challenge me, I would knock ’em down, and they would bring somebody else. By the end of season two, I really felt like a Gladiator. They would go as far as telling the new girl: “Chrissy thinks she’s Queen Bee around here so we need you to step up because nobody here has a strong enough personality. So we need you to come in here and shut it down.” So they were feeding people this negative energy from the door. I have no reason to lie. I’ll say it whoever. It’s compromising to your soul because it’s like I didn’t sign up for this, but I’ll be d*mned if I’m gonna allow somebody make a fool of me because the cameras are rolling.” (VIBE)
Back in January, rumors surfaced claiming Lampkin and Jones were expecting their first child together.
Rumors are circulating that rapper Jim Jones and wife-to-be, Chrissy, are having a baby. According to someone real close to the “Love & Hip-Hop” star, the future Mrs. Jones is pregnant and is expecting the couple’s first child. The source revealed that the two have been apparently trying to get pregnant for years and reached a point where both “had basically given up… [saying] if it happens, it happens.” Although there is no confirmation on the news from Jimmy and Chrissy, the close friend says, “We’re all praying for a HEALTHY BABY to be born. Who, given his/her parents, will be SWAG-A-LOCIOUS!!!” (XXL Mag)
In late December, Chrissy talked about imagining her future wedding.
“[Date set?] Not yet. [Wedding planned?] Absolutely not; this is still just setting in, the whole engagement thing,” Chrissy said. “[Nervous?] Yeah, I am. I’m scared of the wedding. A lot of planning and a lot of stuff I have to get together. … Me, I could’ve done a destination wedding. A few family members and a few friends. [Televised wedding?] I hadn’t planned for it but let’s see.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)
