NBA superstar Matt Barnes has finally caved in and addressed being name-dropped in hip-hop artist Kanye West‘s “30 Hours” single.

This week, Barnes revealed if he really drove 90 miles, as Yeezy references on the track, to confront ex-NBA coach Derek Fisher.

“Oh yeah, let’s clear that up too. I didn’t go no 90 miles first and foremost. I was in the marina where my condo is and they’re in Redondo Beach. So I went actually 15 minutes. The 90 miles thing is, I guess, going to go down in history because of the rap song but that was 15 minutes. People were like, ‘What were you listening to?’ I probably would have been listening to 2Pac but I’m not gonna drive no 90 miles.” (Hollywood Unlocked)

On Kanye’s “30 Hours” hit, he takes direct aim by referencing Barnes.

“Now a n*gga mad. Now I’m ’bout to drive 90 miles like Matt Barnes to kill… 30 hoursJust to kill.. Just to… Just to… I’m about to drive 90, 90 miles like Matt Barnes just to whoop a n*gga a**. It was my idea and now a n*gga, 30 hours, Now a n*gga mad, now a n*gga, uh” (“30 Hours”)

Barnes caught a nasty NBA fine for threatening Fisher on social media a few months back.

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes was fined $35,000 by the NBA for his “inappropriate” comments concerning New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher. Barnes and Fisher, two former friends and ex-Lakers teammates who were involved in an off-the-court altercation centered around Barnes’ estranged wife back in October, were reunited on Saturday night during the Grizzlies’ 103-95 win over the Knicks. The two did not appear to interact at all. (ESPN)

Matt revealed his frustrations and shot out a warning toward Fisher in January.

“I don’t talk to snakes,” Barnes told the Daily News. “I never wish for another man’s downfall. I always knew the NBA would come down hard on me, so I wasn’t surprised… Cause I’m the bad guy. … I know I got to keep my mouth shut because then he’ll run and tell. So we’re focused on playing that team (the Knicks). And when I’m retired, him and I will cross paths again.” (NY Daily News)
