Music mogul Master P is reportedly the latest hip-hop artist to fall victim to the trend of wives filing for divorce after ample years together and building flourishing families.
According to reports, Master P’s wife, Sonya Miller, is ready to call it quits after nearly 25 years together.
Master P’s wife has had it with the rap mogul … she’s filed for divorce. Sonya Miller filed divorce docs — obtained by TMZ — in which she seeks to end her 24-year marriage based on the standard “irreconcilable differences.” The couple has 4 minor children — she wants full custody. They also have famous adult son, Romeo. Sonya wants spousal support. (TMZ)
Despite the breaking news, Master P is believed to have already moved on from their bond.
This one’s a little weird. Back in 2011, Sonya went to court to get child support. At the time we thought they were already divorced, but now we learn no one ever pulled the trigger and filed divorce documents. So she did it now, but we’re told they’ve been separated for a long time. M.P. has clearly moved on … because a woman he was rumored to be dating threw him a surprise, flash mob birthday bash in Santa Monica back in April. The party backfired because Master P hated it and stormed out of the restaurant. (TMZ)
Earlier this week, reports of producer Timbaland and his wife filing for divorce surfaced across the Internet.
Timbaland’s wife has filed for divorce … TMZ has learned … and she’s not only demanding that he foot the bill for their kid, she wants him to pay for a kid he didn’t even father. Monique Mosley says in her divorce docs — obtained by TMZ — that although she and Timbaland have been married for 5 years, they’ve been a couple for twice that time. In addition to their 5-year-old daughter, Monique has a 10-year-old from another relationship. So why, you ask, is she asking for child support for both kids? Monique says Timbaland is the daddy by default, since he’s “publicly and privately proclaimed this child as his own.” (TMZ)
The news came weeks after rap veteran Big Boi‘s wife filed for divorce.
Big Boi (real name Antwon A. Patton) from Outkast may be facing a child custody battle from his estranged wife after she filed divorce papers in in Fulton County Superior Court yesterday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Sherlita M. Patton said in court documents that their 11 year marriage is “irretrievably broken.” She is also seeking alimony, an equitable division of marital property and attorney’s fees.
