Moving Monday. We’re moving all over the place today so why not start things off with Master P getting ready to enter N.W.A. territory? Speaking of territory, is it Drake territory down in North Carolina thanks to one special radio station? Speaking of receiving some special attention, did one “Empire” star get played trying to get into a club this past weekend? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Make ‘Em Say HUHHHH?

Right when everyone starts celebrating the release of N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” rap mogul Master P has to steal a little bit of the spotlight with his own big biopic announcement? His press release has all of the details:

ICM_KOS_MOVIE_BANNER_2015

Written by Percy Miller, Parde Bridget and Wayne Conley brings alive the real story of young Percy Miller “Master P” and how he became one of the most influential names to Hip Hop. Master P broke major music barriers in the late 90’s with a 80/20 distribution deal that changed the industry of the hip hop world. Master P and his No Limit Record Company INDEPENDENTLY sold 75 million albums world wide in a time when hip-hop was dominantly run by the West and East coast. Master P gave a voice to Southern Hip Hop and exploded the culture, the soul, and the heart of what southern hip-hop is. (King of the South Movie)

In all fairness, Master P did have a strong run in the 90’s, with Silkk the Shocker, Mystikal, Mia X and a bunch more artists. But then again, couldn’t we say a biopic would be great for Three 6 Mafia, Wu-Tang Clan, OutKast and a bunch more iconic groups? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Drizzy Day

What’s going down in Charlotte, North Carolina these days? It looks like one radio station went over and beyond showing love to Drake. Fox 8 is on it:

Drake

A Charlotte radio station has been playing nothing but songs by rapper Drake since Friday. Now, some people are wondering why. But why? There are some theories floating around the internet, according to MTV. Some believe Drake bought the station, while others say a local urban station has taken over the frequency. The station is reportedly going to make a “special announcement” on Monday. (Fox 8)

Stay tuned? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Power Struggle

Even with the epic “Power” finale this past weekend, there’s nothing more anticipated than the return of “Empire” in September. But could one main star’s face have not been enough to slide into a Memphis club? TMZ is on it:

‘Empire’ star Bryshere “Yazz” Gray tried pulling the celebrity card big time Saturday night but one security guard just wasn’t having it. We’re told Yazz, who plays Hakeem Lyon, was trying to get into Memphis’ famous Beale Street … the only problem? … He didn’t want to stand in line. A witness says there were about 35 people waiting when the actor came out of nowhere and tried going through the street’s exit, completely ignoring the line. Yazz got into it with a security guard before his bodyguard stepped in and took him away. (TMZ)

Ouch! Who wouldn’t let Yazz in? Unless the club is Team Lucious Lyon? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.
