Rap mogul Master P had the surprise of a lifetime this week as reports claim an unexpected birthday celebration performance had him running out of a California restaurant.
Details of the birthday surprise gone wrong surfaced online heading into the weekend.
Master P hates flash mobs … HATES THEM … at least, it seemed that way when he stormed away from a mob that was organized especially for his birthday yesterday … and TMZ got the whole thing on tape. P was enjoying a nice relaxing lunch with his son Romeo in Santa Monica … when a flash mob broke out right in front of Master P’s table. But Mr. P clearly wasn’t amused … and right in the middle of the performance (during a Gangnam Style routine), the No Limit founder got out of his seat and beelined it for the exit, clearly upset. Even after P found out the gag was merely fun and games, he did not see it as a laughing matter.
As he left the restaurant, a woman connected to the event chased after P and begged him to come back … saying, “Don’t leave … it’s your birthday.” The woman also told P the name of the person who organized the event in the hopes P would have a change of heart … but P didn’t care, and continued to storm off. On his way out, we commented to P, “That didn’t go like they planned, huh?” His response — “Nah, it did not.” So, why was P so pissed off? We’re trying to find out … maybe he just isn’t a fan of Psy? Romeo hopped onto Twitter to give his take on the unexpected flash mob incident.
“Just got flashed mobbed on at our meeting at the beach w/pops @MasterPMiller lol. Someone def.planned this! Too many paparazzi,” Romeo tweeted April 25th. (Romeo’s Twitter)
A couple years ago, Bad Boy Records rapper Machine Gun Kelly found himself in handcuffs after taking part in a flash mob demonstration.
Cleveland rapper “Machine Gun Kelly” was arrested Saturday after inciting a flash mob at South Park Mall, Strongsville police said. Officers responded to the mall after being tipped off about a possible flash mob taking place at 5 p.m. Although he was asked by the SPD to refrain from standing on a table, Baker did it anyway, sending his die-hard fans into a frenzy. A YouTubevideo shows the rapper jumping up on a table with a megaphone in the food court, but just as soon as he was up, police officers yanked him down. (WJW-TV)
