In Fresh’s opinion, Wayne has his eyes on growing as more than just a platinum-selling hip-hop artist.

“I think he’s going — real talk — ‘I could probably use Drake and Nicki, but I’ve done that so many times.’ “Let’s get out there and do things so I can show that I am bigger than life. He’s going to get somebody with star power that can bring other people to the table. If I did do a song and I got Justin Timberlake on it, I got Justin Timberlake fans as well. I think Wayne is starting to see it in that way. Hip hop can only bring you so far.” (AP)

Former Cash Money artist Turk spoke to SOHH last week about his million dollar lawsuit against Baby.

“The reason why I sued now is because I realized that me being loyal has gotten me nowhere in this business!! It’s my attorney’s decision that it was in my best interest to sue after several attempts to settle this matter privately. Now we wait for the next chapter!! Wodie.” (SOHH)

Earlier in the week, Turk talked to SOHH about rap star Lil Wayne‘s issues with Cash Money.

“It is what it is, we don’t want no problems. We just want our money. That’s just the bottom line. It’s overdue. We’re all grownups and that’s what it’s about. [Lil] Wayne feels the same way. It’s all old news to me [with Wayne’s Cash Money problems]. It’s kind of like, yeah, it was just about when. It happened from the time when we left. When we left, people thought it was a publicity stunt then. You gotta sit back and see how it all turns out.” (SOHH)

On his “CoCo” freestyle, Weezy F. Baby describes his loyalty to Cash Money amid labelmates leaving throughout the mid-2000’s.

“Who kept this sh*t together? N*gga, me, that’s who. Who was there when n*ggas left? N*gga, me, that’s who / Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army / And if them n*ggas comin’ for me, I’m goin’ out like Tony …”Now I don’t want no problems, I just want my money – Birdman Jr., more like Ugly Duckling.” (“CoCo” Freestyle)

  1. This is all a publicity stunt…..Carter 5 is gonna drop as a surprise album. Watch…..

  2. I knew it’d get this way for Baby one day. You can only slide so many times after doing so much dirt to your own, or anyone really. I knew that one day it’d eventually blow up in his face, like this. I don’t think this is a publicity stunt, this should have happened in 06-07 when he wanted to leave. I’m already not a ymcmb fan, but if this to gain exposure I will lose the little respect I have for these dudes.
